Many companies start their training before the student has graduated. Advice received from companies would be reflected in the curriculum straight away. They also visit various productions and search information on employment offers.Īt times the tutor will visit the companies to gain understanding of what requirements there are on the scene. The staff at the recruitment center are always looking out for new sources of employment. We have a system where the tutor, career center and the student discuss the required personnel, production and directions in order to establish a suitable job-hunt for all. Our career advice staff always research what the new companies and the industry are seeking for and give advice to the students. We have a system in which there is a tutor for each class in which we are able to have full understanding of each of the student’s thoughts towards their future career options and directions. We take into account every student’s characteristics and lay out a framework to act as a go-between the students and the companies. No matter how much skills and knowledge you have, if you are unable to communicate well you will be unable to get a job. The first step to making a debut and finding a job is learning how to communicate with people. Making a debut while still being a student may not be just a dream. It’s time to create your next production and make an appeal. If you are able to receive the business card of the editor, this could be a chance. And after practicing the presentation taking your instructor’s advice you will be given the opportunity to attempt another mock production-presentation and give a real presentation to a publisher at the end of year 1. You may feel nervous to start off with but you will be given the opportunity to practice with school staff who will pretend to be an editor.Īfter practicing on the phone, we will invite somebody from the editorial department who will offer you direct advice for your production. The first step to production-presentation is to call a publisher. Editors of comics and novels will give direct advice for student’s productions. Students will be able to reflect back to the given advice in order to be fully equipped for the real interview. Members of the industry who know what kind of personnel the industry are looking for will interview and will ask the students questions that are likely to be asked in a real interview.Īfter the interview you will be given explanation of the purpose behind the questions followed by advice. We will have people from the industry provide mock interviews on our premises. ■Prepare for job hunting with mock interviews In the Animation Department we will invite people from various positions and ask them to check the student’s productions and to offer advice.
